There’s such a variety of plant life out there. The first is a saucer plant native to the Canary Island. The second is a tiger lily which can be found all over Asia. Fascinating to view close up.

Mont Sainte-Victoire was a frequent subject of the painter Paul Cézanne. This view is from the Terrain des peintures (Field of Painters) in Aix-en-Provence, France a 15 minute walk up the hillside from his workshop. The trees and new homes obscure the once wide open view but the mountain remains.
Ferns were the first plants I learned about in biology. I couldn’t tell you much about them beyond that tidbit, but watching their different stages of life makes me think of my own.
