The people of Palestine and Gaza have been under siege since the terrorist attack committed by Hamas on October 7th, 2023. Prior, Gaza has long been considered and open air prison as movement in and out of the strip is heavily monitored and restricted. While Palestine remains, for all intents and purposes, an apartheid state with Israel. The Poets for a Free Palestine event in Washington DC took place to elevated the stories of those who know people living in the region and to offer words of support to those suffering through this humanitarian crisis. Nearly $2,500 was raise for Palestinian families through Gaza Champions. Chapbook.
